Yummilicious! Cremo!!

If you like Ice Cream, you MUST try Cremo. This is really a hidden gem if you manage to find it. You might be able to find it at some obscure supermart somewhere. I have yet to find it at neighbourhood minimarts or the usual supermarkets. What you see above are mixed berries that CJ buys for me from Phoon Huat.. goes perfectly with ice-cream!!
For us, we headed down to the 24hr budget supermart nearby that caters for blue collar workers and grabbed some of these one evening not knowing that we found GOLD!!!

Its different from mainstream ice cream... you know which brands I'm talking about.. standard types like Walls or Nestlé brand lah... yes yes.. they're good in their own way ..and definitely not compared to premiums like Ben & Jerry's or Haagen Daaz etc... but Cremo is a winner with us.

I HIGHLY recommend it if you're an ice cream eater. All their flavours are good. And its DAMN BLOODY CHEAP!!!! We buy each 500gm small tub for SGD$1.80 only!

$1.80 for such goodness... its really REALLY GOOD. Super creamy. Dense, heavily flavourful and it actually tastes different from your standard issue brands & flavours...

They have 12 flavours in this mini tub. And All of them are GOOD. *cough* yes, I've tried all of them mini tubs... they also have a 6 litre pack which goes to restaurants/hotels/caterers which has a whole host of other flavours... *I want!!!!!* (screams)

Can you relate? Its when you take a spoon and put it into your mouth and either ur eyes start rolling back into your head out of sheer pleasure and your hand starts to tremble and you unconciously grasp the cup closer to you in sheer selfishness...

Or u start going "oh! oh! oh!! *while mumbling with the melting ice cream in your mouth* GOOD GOOD GOOD! MMMmmmmm!!!!" (nod nod nod) {nudge nudge} partner who's experiencing the same antagonising pleasure....wah lau... This is it.

Vanilla - Very Very dense vanilla flavour... *slurps*, excellent with all toppings.

Chocolate - Heavy on the chocolate flavour... tastes like melted chocolate.

Chocolate Chip - Just like vanilla with chocolate chips.. *good!!*

Strawberry - Creamy blended strawberry, no pips and perfect for that milkshake.

Yam - This one is my favourite. Its SO different from typical yam ice cream. Its almost like the yam was baked before it was processed and its creamy and like frozen OR NEE! *aka yam paste* Fhwoa lao!! Good!!

Coffee - Coffee lovers.. this is so damn good. Like a really creamy 3 in 1 coffee blend.

Rum & Raisin - This one is insane, the rum in this tastes so real. You even get the nose tingling feeling of drinking alcohol.. not recommended for children.. and there are chewy raisin bits inside...

Durian - Ok.. durian lovers line up. Its like blended durian puree in vanilla icecream... good ah!

Jackfruit - Pungent just like the real thing... very fruity... another yummy one.

Tropicana - Tropicana ... I tried this once before, but don't have it on hand right now and forget how it tastes although I know its was definitely good too.. I don't have one that I dislike yet!

Sweet Corn - If u like corn, you'd like this one... creamy corn... very shiok!!

Coconut - Just like frozen coconut milk... not too jelat and very easy on the throat...

So... if you ever want to get me ice cream.. make it a Cremo...don't say I never give you any good lobangs okay! *yummilicious 5 out of 5 recommendation!!* Drooolllsss.....

Puppy Love.. do you remember?

If you didn't catch that last part, Umi says her boyfriend is Hong Ming. Thus the look on his face...

Aww, do you remember your puppy love? *soft fluffy clouds enter my mind... soft music in the playground and the scene becomes blurry and twinkly as I recall...*

Mine was a little spanish boy with brown hair named Adam. I was 6. I remember him as being a little scruffy, a little tan, a little stout, with a thick mop of brown hair on his head and we were in grade one together in the Taiwan American School.... We were in the same homeroom under Mrs. Champion.. a really nice smiley american lady who had sons who went to the same school.

Adam sat next to me in class. Stood next to me when we were lining up. Blocked people when I wanted a drink from the water fountain and pushed me up the slides when I couldn't get up.

Once in a while, he would bring me a sweet which he put into my pocket and I would bashfully skip away in the playground to secretly covet my new "sweet" and hang upside down on the swinging rings.

People would tease like how they did in those days "Adam and Pammy sitting in a tree, *spell* k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Pammy with a baby carriage!!"

Neh neh neh puu puuuu.... *stick out tongue* ((bish)) Why must be ME with the baby carriage meh? Cannot be the guy mehhhh??!! Blah...

Ahhh.. such is the thing called puppy love... *snapping out of the midst, music stops playing abruptly--> back into reality...*

A Belated Mother's Day Celebration!

The Toh family gathers together for certain occasions other than Chinese New Year. *yes, I'm a Toh. Who married a Sim. And yes, I adopted my husbands name.* We all headed down to my kampong, Serangoon Gardens for yet another family gathering.

The occasion? Mothers Day! Hahha! I know. Its a really belated one. It was hard getting everyone together, either someone was out of town but we all finally made it yesterday. 25th May 2006.

We made our way down to my dad's house and waited for dinner.. and dinner was good as usual. Alot of chicken! Roasted, Fried, Curried and Satayed! Hahah...

And lontong! I looove vegetable curry, petai *urgh I don't like petai --> the green beans u see in the 2nd picture. Its horribly bitter*, fried fish, and cucumber/onions that went with the satay...

And we had to contribute something. So we baked cookies! Heh heh.. freshly baked oatmeal cookies came from me! And my aunt's domestic helper baked some banana cake! Yumm!!~

And before we all ate... everyone posed for a group picture! The moms there and all the cousins in the kitchen... Say Cheese!! Lauren then distributed little Happy Mothers Day pictures that she spent the afternoon colouring. :) So sweet lah she... :) *proud mom beaming*

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I know its a little late but Mother's must be appreciated ALL THE TIME for all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears we put in for you children... Have you said I love you and thank you to your Mother today?

Zumba Update!

Find our about one of Zumba's Master Trainer here! She's Good!

An update to THIS.

I've tried my first Zumba class at Orchard CF this morning and here are my reviews!

IT WAS GREAT!! I really enjoyed myself tremendously. I'm definitely going back for more.

And unfortunately for other gyms, Zumba is exclusive to California Fitness in Singapore.

Technically, I managed to do just about 90% of all the moves demonstrated which is A GOOD THING for a first timer in a new class.

So those "hand like leg, leg like hand" people sure can do it. There were alot of older ladies in the class, some grandmothers even! and if they can do it.. anyone can.

I did notice though that the class were all ladies. I guess no men are too keen on it yet? All they did were gawk from the glass mirror behind at all the shaking rumps..

Check this video out and tell me. Its do-able right? DEFINITELY... If I can.. so can you. This video really makes u wanna stand up and try doesn't it! Ignore the "crowd" though, I know they look a little spaz but once you're warmed up in class. You'll be fine.

That being said, to really enjoy this class. You really need to shake without inhibitions so don't even bother about those buayas standing strategically at their viewing spot outside "pretending to lift weights".

And since this is still relatively new, there are also alot of first timers so you don't have to be embarassed if you lose timing. Practically no one was standing there looking like an idiot... after checking out the next move, you adjust and from the 2nd move onwards, its smooth! Compared to Body Combat or Step Class which sometimes leave u standing there lost in time and scratching your head bc you can't keep up.

For some reason, I'm even contemplating to explore the idea of being a Zumba instructor in the future.. but I'll give it a couple of months to see how it develops and move from there. I can actually visualise myself instructing this... **ponder ponder**

Intensity wise, it's about 60% intensity compared to a body combat class to me at least, so you would break a sweat but sweat would not be flying about as you would in a body combat class. This would also mean that after the class, personally, I'd supplement it with a little more cardio. Its not intense enough yet. At least not with this instructor. Different instructors give different intensity of workout but I'd say that I'm quite impressed with today's instructors' moves.

As long you're a person who can keep a rhythm in your head. Zumba can be easy.

I'll definitely be back for more and have next week's schedule on hand. There is a master class next tuesday ar Orchard. Master classes are great bc they are conducted by experienced master trainers.

So anyone joining me?! Email me HERE.

Whatever, Anything, You Decide

I spotted this on my favourite parenting board and I can so relate to how frustrating this can be for the man. Don't you guys just love us women? We're simply complicated that way.

Whatever, Anything & You Decide.

(1) Whatever
Men: What to have for dinner?
Women: Whatever...
Men: Why not we have steamboat?
Women: Don't want la, eat steamboat later got pimples in my face...
Men: Alright, why not we have Sichuan cuisine?
Women: Yesterday ate Sichuan, today eat again?
Men: Hmm... I suggest we have seafood then.
Women: Seafood no good la, later I got diarrhea.
Men: Then what you suggest?
Women : Whatever...

(2) Anything
Men: So what should we do now?
Women: Anything
Men: How about watching movie? Long time we didn't watch movie.
Women: Watching movie no good la, waste time only.
Men: How about we play bowling, do some exercises?
Women: Exercise in such a hot day? You not feel tired meh?
Men: Then find a cafe and have drink.
Women: Drink coffee will affect my sleep.
Men: Then what you suggest?
Women: Anything...

(3) You decide
Men: Then we just go home lo...
Women: You decide!
Men: Let's take a bus, I will accompany you.
Women: Bus is dirty and crowded. Don't want la...
Men: Ok,we will take taxi then.
Women: Not worth it la... for such a short distance.
Men: Alright, then we walk lo... Take a slow walk.
Women: What??? To walk with empty stomach?
Men: Then what you suggest?
Women: You decide.
Men: Let's have dinner first.
Women: Whatever...
Men: Eat what?
Women: Anything...

-.-'' Classic.

NSFW: 10 Benefits of Sex

I recieved this list of the benefits of sex from a girlfriend by email and thought it would be amusing to share... benefits of sex!..modified a little for more content... so here goes to telling your husband/wife why it would be good to get some nookie tonight... heh heh... *ahem*

*cough* By the way, this in no way means that I have any intention to putting up sexually explicit posts up on my blog, this is just for information purposes only *cough*

Did you know that we can determine if a person is sexually active or not by looking at her skin?

1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests have shown that a woman who has sexual relations produces big amounts of estrogen which makes hair shiny and soft.

2. To make love in soft and relaxed way reduces the possibilities of suffering from dermatitis and acne. The sweat produced cleans pores and makes the skin shine.

3. To make love allows you to burn calories! Check it out HERE to see how much you can torch during each session depending what you do! Its a MUST READ btw.. its hilarious!!

Thirty minutes of sex can burn approximately 150 calories. A person who has sex three times a week for a year can potentially lose about five pounds a year due to sex alone. Sex also stretches and tones muscles, which can lead to a higher level of fitness and a better posture. Muscular contractions during intercourse work the pelvis, thighs, buttocks, arms, neck and thorax. Sex also boosts production of testosterone, which leads to stronger bones and muscles.

4. Sex is one of the safest sports. It strengthens and tones body muscles. It is more enjoyable than doing 20 laps in the pool. And you don't need special shoes!

5. Sex is an instantaneous cure to aid against depression. It frees endorphines in the blood flow, creating a state of euphoria and leaves us with a feeling of well-being.

6. The more we make love, the more we have the capacity to do more. A body sexually active releases a higher amount of pheromone. This subtle aroma excites the opposite sex ! After sex, production of the hormone prolactin surges which causes stem cells in the brain to develop new neurons in the brain's olfactory bulb, the centre which enables us to smell.

7. Sex is the safest tranquiliser in the world. IT IS 10 TIMES MORE EFFICIENT THAN VALIUM. Numerous studies show that sex helps reduce stress by lowering anxiety levels, boosting relaxation, and aiding in sleep.

8. To kiss everyday to avoid the dentist. Kisses aid saliva in cleaning teeths and lower the quantity of acids causing enamel weakening.

9. Sex relieves headaches. Each time we make love, it releases the tension in brain veins. Immediately before orgasm, levels of the hormone oxytocin surge to five times their normal level. This in turn releases endorphins, which alleviate the pain of everything from headache to arthritis to even migrane. It also helps relieve menstrual cramps. In a study, people who reported one or two sexual "episodes" per week enjoyed higher levels of the antibody that helps fight disease.

10. To make love a lot can heal a nasal congestion. Sex is a natural antihistaminic. It helps fight asthma and spring allergies. Some evidence suggests that sex can be rejuvenating to the point of helping wounds heal faster. Several experiments have shown that oxytocin can help sores to heal quicker by regenerating cells.

So there you have it... some health reasons to get busy.... *wink* Good Luck!!

Have you been to the museum recently?

The last time I stepped into the National Museum was when I was in secondary school. Back then, *ahem* which was over 12 years ago btw.... everything was still musky, dim and had several rooms of items in glass cases.

So today, my girls and I decided to make a trip out to visit it. I set a budget of $20, packed our haversack with red bean buns, crackers and water and off we went!

It turns out however that children under 6 years old are free! So Eirian got in FOC. Adult tickets were $10 and child/senior citizen tickets were $5.

Lauren was excited because she visited it some weeks ago with her classmates and wanted to show her sister the "special Living rooms" that the museum had.

(BTW, every picture in this post was taken by my handphone today as my camera is with CJ in KL....so please excuse some of the not so clear pics)

If you are keen on finding out more about the National Museum, check out their website HERE!
We took some pictures before we went in. One right under the brown "this sign signifies that this building is a tourist attraction" signage in front of the building.

There was also a marble disk that was on the ground and we saw that it was a time capsule.. so I guess its under it? Duh... and its supposed to be opened in December 2009! That's just next year... I can see how this is going to make some evening news next year. I'm curious to what they put inside.
So we entered the building to be greeted by a GIANT NAKED MAN.... *hmmppff*.. Lauren squealed in amusement and pointed "Look mommy!! A giant KUKU!!" (Me of course Tsk Tsk-ing away by the side hoping that no one heard that exclamation)

It is a really REALLY big "statue" but he's covered in fabric.. and the first thing that came to mind was... "oh damn!! small pecker!!! pity!.." but as I walked around observing the naked man I realise that he really has a pretty nice ass. *hiak hiak hiak

We walked up to the 2nd floor and saw these 2 men standing there. Eirian was afraid of it as she realised that the man on the right had his face facing the "wrong way". Then we walked across the bridge which had dark red hanging swinging chandeliers which lined above the walkway and saw this!

A giant Robot on the wall so naturally we took a picture with it too! Lauren and I were joking that since her sister and herself were colour coordinated and they looked like they were attached to the robot's belt. That they were his weapons.

And I said "yea so he pulls you out and squeeses you and you shoot. BLOOD?" and then both girls squealed in disgust and started laughing.

*ahem* ok ... so we're gross that way... we don't block macabre from our daughters.. heck, they even watch Happy Tree Friends if they're up to cringing. Apart from being gross, it always gives us a reason to say "you see! if you don't wash/bathe/clean/listen to me/walk safely across the street/brush your teeth/walk with knives facing down - THAT WILL HAPPEN TO U!! (Evil laughter abounds.... bwuhwhahahahahahah)... usually does the trick as we see them nodding furiously in agreement.

So we started our "tour" and were given 2 headsets *unfotunately non paying children don't get a headset so Eirian wore mine instead* It came with a panel with numbers to punch in every time we reach a new section of the place.

Number indicators on the floor would tell you what to press and you press accordingly when you enter a new area to listen to the narration/music/sounds that area has in store.

Taking some photos at the museum. It has been so nicely renovated that it practically feels like the airport! So cold and marbly...

And there was a wall which projected and magnified you on it when you walk past. Definitely a hit with the kids, you walk past and your pheripheral vision goes "euuurrrghhh? That looks strangely LIKE ME..." and you turn to look and realise.. "hey!! IT IS ME!!" and u spasticly start to wave... "yay! look its me!!" *Oh gosh, so suaku can!! but so fun!!* I took a picture of my giant self before we moved on....

So in we go into a whole history tour of Singapore.. and as we all know it from our Secondary school history class... its filled with traders/coolies/peranakans/japanese and of course... opium.
Pictures and paintings filled the wall but these 3 in the first area, I like best. All these druggies... and you wonder why its not a popular thing anymore? Or has cigarettes/cigars just taken over.
Blah! I don't smoke and I never will.

So here this skeletal old man helping out his other druggie companion...

and then getting his own fix... *blargh!!*

Every few steps there was a number code for a new story, once in a while, there would be a video clip to watch so we stopped to view.

Stuff from long before like Rickshaws, Funeral beds, japanese invasion videos displayed on the walls, Japanese army hats and a giant anchor... my girls have never seen an achor before so it was a good time to explain what it was...

Slowly but surely, from the Old Singapore to Colonial Age to the Modern age, the exibits progressed. I was enthralled by the money section where they put all the different kinds of old notes and showed how the note design progressed over time..

So now, who wouldn't want this NOTE? **raise hands "I do! I do!!"**

And so brings us to the Proclamation of Independance as brought forward by Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. We are then set free!

And before we know it. We pledge allegiance to our country and to our flag with this paragraph that all of us know my heart. In 2 versions too! Spoken and in Song!! Tell me now that you don't know the SONG version!

Modernisation comes in and an area showing all those that were familiar back then were displayed and I look in amusement at how you notice that there are ALOT OF ORANGE!?? Whats with all that orange back then man? Such an obiang colour. -.-''

So we leave history and modern Singapore and enter various themed rooms. These Living Rooms were filled with items like Fashion/Music/Film/Food and Photography.
In one of the rooms, there was a wayang display and they were fantasically gorgeous! Unusually sparkly, Eirian couldn't help but coo and cooo and cooo..... "waaaaaahhhhh!! Sooo pweety"

Then a little listening corner where they could put on some headphones and listen to some oldies and some classic music.

Right after into the photography room which was filled with family photographs, videos of mixed marriages, polygamy and more and more strange looking families. I say strange because alot of them have children and wives that have REALLY BULGING EYES and they look EXACTLY the same even though you KNOW they're not twins/triplets/quads due to the obvious height difference. Whats up with that lahhh!!!! Scary!!!

There was this picture that I found quite intruiging. Looking at it closely, you would notice that the lady lying down has her nipples exposed. Not something that I'd expect when times back then were so conservative.

And so if she's lying there like that, whos that other lady? Is that her partner? Are they lesbian? Hmmmmmnnn..... doesn't she look a little post coital too? And that one standing must not have gotten her fix seeing that she's looking like she could crush a cockroach with her stare.
Check out the body language! The one lying down is so "relaxed" and like saying "ah ok darlin.. you can go now, I've had enough orgasms for today..." swishing fan away like a taitai in dismissal of her servant "oh and get me some bandung on your way out... my throat is parched..."... and the one standing with her arms crossed and is saying in dismay "and me? What about me? Don't I get to cum too? I did all that work and I don't get anything!?! BITCH!!!" *later going to put my bloody sanitary pad into ur soup, wretch!!* *evil snigger hur hur hur....*

Ohhh okay.. so maybe that's not what this picture is really about but hey... all in my head ya? How would you depict this when you see it? Does it come with a story?

So off into the Living Room for FOOD and it was filled with several classic dishes and even cooking videos showing the process and ingredients of how its made. Dishes like Laksa, Char Kuay Teow, Tutu cakes and Roti Prata!

It lead into another brightly lit room filled with bottles that contained various food and there were smell bottles. Smell bottles had a tube where u pull at a string and you sniff the funnel to catch a whiff of what that ingredient is.. ie pepper/lime/ginger/other spices.

I let the girls run about here sniffing and to my horror, I found Eirian STICKING HER FACE onto the funnel to take a deep breathe of the scent.

AAAAARRGGGHhh!! GERMS LAH!!! Sniff!! NOT deeply inhale with the thing attached to ur face!!! **faint**

Quickly I pulled her aside and wiped her down. **thats just me.. I imagine someone SNEEZING into the damn thing and she puts her face there!!!! EEEEEEEEEEkkkkk!!!!!**

Old bottles. Old kopitiam porcelain cups...

We left the rooms and found an interactive wall! Its a metal sheeted wall and they put magnets on utilarian items like bowls/spoons/helmets/gloves and sauce dishes and children can stick and unstick them to make patterns on the wall.

We spent some time here and went back once more just before we left! So fun! And of course, I had to pose with the hardhat... heheehhe....

We strolled around somemore to see what else we had missed and we looked down into the basement and realised! Play area!! Yay!!!!

They were having another exhibition there for Kids which was Mozart themed but it was a closed door exhibition. We didn't buy tickets for it as it cost an additional $7.50 per child. Not to mention Adult tickets.. which... I can't remember how much.. but perhaps more than $10? I did ask what it was all about though. They said they had different wigs for the kids to try out. First thing that came to mind was... EEEEEEEEKKK!!!!! kutu!!!!.... then they had a big bed for the kids to jump about in... next thing that came to mind was Eirian flying off and slamming her head onto the ground.

Nope.. next? And some arts & craft thing and music appreciation thing going on inside. Okay!! PASS!! Not going in...

They did however have another installation where it resembled those novelty toys where it was filled with "nails" and you can shape your hand in it by laying the nails over it and keeping that "sculptured shape" as part of a display. Except this installation was lifesize and they had to push/pull against the wooden plugs instead.

Entertainment time? Less than 10 minutes. Would have been longer if I didn't have to pull them away from getting their faces smashed in by some frolicking ADULTS pushing against the wooden sticks IN THE DIRECTION OF THEIR FACE.

Use your damn blardy brains lor right!! U push one side, the other side will pop out. Vice Versa. So U see someone on the other side. Don't go and push happily push push in case it hits the opposite person in the face right!! Cheee bye. **evil stare**

Anyway.. we left them to do their own "play" and saw that there was another section further down which was an art & craft corner filled with crayons/colourpencils and some assistants to help with your drawing/colouring.. good to fill time up for those parents who are having a snack and coffee at the Cafe/restaurant upstairs.

And yet another installation art where these squeaky pillows are held up by velcro so we did a race by seeing who stuck up more pillows the fastest.

And every child's delight. A ball pit. Which child doesn't love a ball pit!

And so thats it... a day at the museum.. have you been to the museum lately?

Workout Music:Whats new?

Whats new in my MP3 player lately? Thanks to the recommendations of Alexandra... my younger sis.. being the CF spinning instructor that she is, she'd surely have some good workout tune recommendations and I was right! They're good lah!! I now have a whole new range of workout tunes to sweat too....

Now if you're working out to a cardio sweat, this is the beat I follow to really work up to pooling some sweat on the ground...

Here are some of them... enjoy!! :) These videos are quite loud. Don't say I didn't warn you! :)

Safri Duo feat. Clark Anderson - All the people in the world

Safri Duo - Samb Adagio

Lambada Mix *With Safri Duo* I couldn't find the exact version I have on my player on youtube but its correct up to the first 35 seconds of this video mix. The rest... erm... is alright.. but not the track that I'd work out to.. heh...

Music while working out is very important to me and it has to be hard hitting, very upbeat so that I can pace myself. Work harder and longer and keep myself motivated. I tend to fizzle a little when the songs get too "old" and need to renew my list every so often..

That being said, I listen to these songs during transit and travel too so if I'm alone outside and you see me. It's very likely that I would not hear you calling out to me. Tap me on my arm if you need to catch my attention. If not, I would be revelling in very loud music in my own little world

Summer Rain (Rob Mayth Club Mix) *The beginning to this is a little draggy so I'd recommend listening from -4.45min track point*

And to leave off this small listing of whats new in my player.. a little bit of old school...its Sesame Street New Techno House Mix!! Each time I listen to this, I'm tempted to go " 5 - 6 - 7 -8 HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHHA.." in the middle of the train.

In event that I'm so stressed that I actually lose my composure in public and you see this happening? Yep, it would be me... *cough cough* I will claim temporary insanity btw.... hahaha.... :)

Why Wedding Ring on the 4th Finger?

I came across a post on this blog on a simple finger trick to why the wedding ring sits on the 4th finger.

Try out the finger trick and be amused. Are you amused? I am. :)

And a joke to leave off this post... what are the 3 rings that most people will get in their life?

1. Engagement Ring.

2. Wedding Ring.

Have you Zumba?

What is Zumba?

Zumba (pronounced as zoomba) is a unique and exciting high energy aerobics class that incorporates mainly Latin movements and rhythms as well as a diversified mix of worldly exotic flavors. This includes , but not limited to, dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Tango, Cha Cha and even Reggaeton! The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It targets areas such as glutes, legs, arms, abdominals and most importantly, the heart! The dance steps are easy to follow and students can adjust their aerobic level by either increasing or decreasing their pace and amount of movements. No experience is necessary.

When I saw this on the gym schedule, I was wondering what it was so I took some time to peek into the videos they had playing and I was enthralled. I love classes like this!!

This video is more of an instructional video to give you an idea of what its about... **heh heh, I'm raving about it even before I've tried it but I WILL!! and I will review it when I have done it**

My music playlist has ALOT and when I say ALOT I really mean.. ALOT of latin inspired merengue, latin beats and salsa beats. I love working out to these kind of beats and whats more, I can actually pronounce the words... *trust that my part spanish filipina bloodline background has something to do with being familiar with language like this*.

Furthermore, it looked like it incorporates the kind of explosive movements that I love from Body Combat class but looks more "dancy" and with those "shakalaka" shake that booty movements THAT I ABSOLUTELY adore... Damn!! I wanna shake like that!!! And it looks like it has enough aerobic moves to work up the heart and sweat... I like.

It does help that the chickas in the videos look pretty HAWTT too.... Haha!!

So other than knowing that I will look like an absolute spastic retard in the first couple of classes, I'm still very enthusiastic to try!! If you don't try, you don't learn eh?! Time to unlock my hips.. and I can move to this.. I know it... hahahhaha... thanks to dancing on table tops and all over the sofas at home when I was younger **thanks mommy!!**

Ok **checking gym schedule...** I'm going to try this SOON!! So... anyone who also goes to California Fitness who wants to join me??! Drop me a message HERE and lets try!!

Update!!: Both Lauren and myself tried out this 9 minute video to check out the moves and I'm proud to say that SHE'S GOT MOVES!! and I can do it too.... time for class....!!! And the trick to bumping that booty **according to J.Lo** and gyrating that ass is really just letting go of that inhibition and letting those FATS SHAKE!!

2nd Update!!: If you're interested to try this out, this class is available on Sunday afternoons at the California Fitness Bugis Gym, if you're not a CF member and have not done a trial there before, I can sign you in as a guest. Do note however that you would need to sit through an obligatory sales pitch before they release a 2 or 4 week complimentary trial pass to you. This usually takes about 30 minutes. Although its not mandatory to sign up, its all up to you if you do. Email me here if you're keen on this...

OMG! My Blog is 3!!!

I took part in a Birthday Giveaway on my girlfriend's blog. It was her 3rd blog anniversary! And I was thinking.. heck! Mine isn't even a year old... esp since I only started regularly updating my blog about a year back.

I casually looked into my archives and I realised that MY BLOG IS ACTUALLY A TODDLER!!

Its also 3 years old already!! Where did all the time go! I'm such a bad bloggy mommy for forgetting it's birthday! May 4th May 4th!! Must remember that....

***sayang sayang sayang my blog*** here here.... Mommy now dedicates a Birthday song just for you.. and maybe next year, we will have something special for all our faithful readers out there... stay tuned!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY

DREAMING REALITY!!!

NSFW: This is the kind of reaction....

That makes it worth the effort to lose weight and change how you look. ***Stop gawking at my boobs.. I'm happy that I still HAVE BOOBS after losing weight so far...*** I had an embarassing but highly flattering experience today at a nearby bus stop when I was on the way to the MRT station.

As I neared, I saw what looked like one of my students from some years back. *I was working marketing in an advertising school before* and as I neared. I saw that it was him and decided to be friendly and say Hi.

So I went up behind him and tapped his shoulder and went "Hi!!" and he turned around and went "Oh Hellooo!!" *raise eyebrows ala chee ko pek style... *Erk.... - he probably thought I was trying to pick him up okay....* with eyes that had the faintest recognition of who I was...

Noticing that, I went "err, you don't remember me huh" and he stared closer at my face and then took a step back *eyes widening*, hands cupping his mouth and then he squealed like a pig.

-.-''

"Ohhhh shit!!! What the hell happened to you?!?!" he said while flapping his arms like a bird hyperventilating and cupping his mouth again... staring at me in disbelief...

Ahhhh NOW HE REMEMBERS...

"My God!! You look AMAZING!!" .... arms still flapping about... why, I don't know.. maybe its some kind of uncontrollable reaction?

All I could feebly do after this little spectacle was mumble a meek "err thanks!" while blushing crazily but I was feeling highly complimented...

And then his bus came and I too had to go so we said our goodbyes and perhaps coffee one day small talk.. hahaha..

I moved off to the mrt station, smiling smugly and very pleased.

Now. This is the kind of reaction you want when people have not seen you in a long time... hahha ... ahem... very pleased. :) And so very worth the effort.

Time to continue on my journey down to 55kg land....

Having a Ball of a Mother's Day...

It was a steamboat lunch over at the Sims for Mother's Day and we had a ball of a time.. literally. Our steamboat was FULL OF BALLS... hahhaha my mother in law made Kong Bak which is succulent stewed pork belly with dark soya sauce and steamed up some butterfly buns to "kiap" the meat in... Did I have the buns you were thinking? Of course not lah!! Carbs leh!!! But I did attack the meat.. heh heh... **salivating thinking about it again... time to get somemore!**

What you see here is bowl #1 and bowl #2 and of course I had bowl #3,#4,#5 before the lunch was over... why is it that the food seems to be swimming in dark sauce.. well, obviously the soup in the pot was clear.. I couldn't resist floating my food in my MIL's Kong Bak Sauce!! hahahahahaha....

With our steamboat, we had marinated Suchi fish slices, golden mushrooms, hotdogs, prawns, chinese cabbage, "chicken backside" fishcake which really isn't chicken backside lah! Its a fishpaste formed to LOOK like a chicken behind and filled w prawn paste... *errr... I don't really eat this* and slivers of chicken breast meat. Inside the soup were chicken wings and lumps of sweet corn....

And of course, the BALLS.... on the spread was Fuzhou fishballs which is a fishball stuffed with minced meat, fresh chili fishballs, cuttlefish balls, meat balls, and that cute animal you see there is fishcake panda and of course the best of all, minced meat balls. Yum!!~ **slurps** so what did you have on Mother's Day?

To leave off this Mother's Day.. here is a song for all Mothers reading my blog...
In my daughter's eyes by Martina McBride.... Enjoy. :)

And another one to giving thanks to how fortunate it was to becoming a mother... hugs to all....

There are no ugly women, only lazy ones....

If you make the effort to emphasise your best features and groom yourself before you present yourself to others, you would be pretty. As it is said, there are no ugly women, only lazy ones... do I look as good without makeup as with? Depends on the person looking but majority will always say that once the "Face" is on, it looks more presentable. I think it makes a difference but CJ says it looks the same to him.... -.-''

I can prove it! From seemingly plain janes and with some makeup, VOILA!!... more larger pictures can be found here... the makeup artist for these girls IS REALLY GOOD!! And if you were wondering why the 4th one looks like a guy? Well because IT IS! Its a guy lor!! And he looks like such a pretty lady right? Buay Tahan...

Does it mean that you should go out to buy a whole makeup range? Nope, just ensure that you have some makeup basics that will help add colour to your face and emphasise what you think is best.

Nothing however helps cover up bad skin and dry lips so drink alot of water and use suitable face washes. I recommend anything with tea tree oil in it and listerine for spot drying of pimples. I like the tea tree range from The Body Shop. If you need some serious exfoliation... try Ginvera Marvel Gel... and of course.. once in a while, use a face mask to hydrate and plump up your skin! ... what I've been using lately?... Dainty All in One Collagen Face Mask...

My girlfriend, JO introduced these masks to me and it can really plump up your skin and help clear it with regular use! It can be bought locally from Beauté Spring stores at $2.50 per piece or cheaper if you buy more. Alternatively, look for online sprees for this great product...

There is a makeup artist on youtube who has some quite informative makeup videos. Check it out here! Enkore's makeup tips however can be quite dramatic but he gives great storage tips for makeup.

I've got a link on some basic care and makeup tips that can be found here! This one is really good. Go explore!

My makeup kit is very basic. Much to the appalled makeup artists who do my face. They exclaim "What! you don't go facials? How come your face so swee? and cannot use makeup without primer/foundation/moisturiser!! Wait you get pigmentation later on!" I put it down to having good genes lah and alot alot of water. I don't use foundation nor concealer or face powders and I don't know how to without making myself look WAYANG. If you have something to recommend to me, let me know and mail me here!

I don't want to end up looking like this lor!!! Anyone want to teach me how to put them to look natural then? These are good for stage/theatrical but not for general use. I tried putting foundation and it looked normal at home but when I stepped out and went to a public toilet to check, I shocked myself to hell. I was so PALE and all I needed was a white dress/long black hair. I could qualify to be a fat version of Sadako.... -.-''

Whats in my makeup kit are as follows:
  • L'óreal Blush - Usually in a darker pink shade
  • L'óreal Eyeshadow - usually in pink/purple/gray/white shade
  • VOV glitter stick - Always in white
  • Dark Brown eyeliner pencil which doubles up as eyebrow tint
  • Maybelline Dark Brown mascara
  • Vaseline Lip Balm + a random lipstick colour preferably something dark red
  • Eyelash glue + some sets of false eyelashes + eyelash curler

Thats it! Everything just sits lovely on good skin! So drink up! Water is very important for clear skin. As for makeup remover, I'm very old school and use Ponds Cold Cream for my whole face, even for removing mascara if I use them.

That being said, I would be pleased and open for anyone who reads my blog who's from a skincare company to wants me to endorse or give their makeup/skincare range a try? Hahhaa anyone?
